OUR STORY

ORGANOKE started south of the river at St Giles' Church, Camberwell in 2016, when Jordana, Tom and Ashley were discussing ways to raise awareness and money for the restoration of the St Giles' Organ, designed by Samuel Sebastian Wesley and built by Bishop & Son Organ Builders. Ashley was contemplating a Guinness World Record (the record stood at 42 hours at the time) and they thought it would be fun to "organise" an evening of Karaoke with the St Giles' Organ as part of the Organ Marathon.

They decided it was such a good idea, they should “put on a show” …just for fun! They added a five-piece band, bought a projector and a screen, and enlisted the help of the best MC in town: Kit Green as Ida Barr …and thus, ORGANOKE was born!

Almost impossible to describe, it is “A bit like the end of a wedding reception with the boring bits taken out“ and is an absolutely, euphorically joyful experience.
